Radiesse®
Radiesse is a long-term hard filler best used for deep lines or for bone contouring. It is an innovative product that has been used for many years in dental and orthopedic surgery. This filler does not require any allergy testing. The product consists of calcium hydroxyapatite, which is anormal constituent of the bone and, therefore, should not cause immune reactions.
This filler is now being used to fill deep folds and indentations in the face in order to reduce the signs of aging.
Radiesse treatments are performed in our office and they take about 15 minutes. Your results are immediate and long lasting. There may be some bruising and swelling during the first few days. Bruising can be covered with makeup the day after the injection.
Depending on the area treated, most corrections will last for 10 to 18 months. Some touch-up treatments may be necessary.
